Thanks for hanging in there. Will anxiously await further suggestions. Leaving the changed Value in place.

BTW - Am I the only one experiencing this vexing problem?
If so, any possibility of Microsoft support? They usually refer users to the PC configurator. Of course, they had suggested re-loading the OS, but there would by days devoted to upgrading and setting up program defaults.
