recovery no fee'
'Docs for all my life' no backup? afraid asking for trouble!

I assume he backed up the registry. when I asked him if he formated it he
said he didn't think so (that's probably because he knows how dangerous it
would be to say yes! ha!). I assume that in installing windows xp it would
just overwrite everything? Like all my documents for all my
life/taxes/leases/will/etc. are gone..... If I take it to a professional is
there some way they can find things even if they are erased?
