I have just installed a brand new PC, XP2800, with an XP Pro Inc. SP1 disk. It now appears that whenever I try to open IE it takes forever, and Outlook does the same. When the eventually connect they are fine, but in the meantime I could have gone all over the place with Mozilla which is instantaneous.
Its only Microsoft products which are affected, I haven't installed any of the updates yet, and I have scanned for viruses - all clean.

Any suggestions PLEASE?

PS I'm in here now through Firefox as IE won't connect for another hour!
