You say you checked your BIOS to see if it would boot from the CD. Did you
set the BIOS to have the CD drive as the first boot device?

I say had because someone erased some files/programs off of the computer and now it won't boot up the OS. I get a fatal error message when I try to start it. I have Windows XP that I would like to install on the computer but I can't get the computer to start up off of the CD-Rom....does anyone have any suggestions for me?? I've checked my BIOS to make sure I can boot off of a cd-rom and that all seems to be right...what do I do now?
