Help;using apps across user accounts?

Hello,
i have recently dont some work on stepping up my XP pro security. I
used to login as admin but i have now created a separate limited
account for myself.

The problems are

A) not all the software which was installed in my admin account is
available in the start/prgrams menu on my limited account

b) i seem to have problems using certain software across accounts

eg forte agent news reader is not visable in my limited account and if
i browse to its e.e file,it wont run properly,saying it cant access
the .ini file

pegasus mail is visible i my limited account,i set up the meail
settings,next time i login i have to set it up again,it doesnt seem to
be saving my initial settings..

can anyone suggest how i can fix these problems??do i really need to
not use the admin acc or am i being overly cautious?

its just that i recently found traces of the W32.protoride.worm on my
pc (see symantec) but Norton internet security didnt seem to trap it
despite having latest virus id's etc. Hence my security purge and
switch to pegasus rather than outlook..
