Arlene, the big problem is that your friend should not have reinstalled XP;
but that is done and nothing can be done about it. You should already be
activated. When your friend reinstalled XP and called to get a new Product
Key, he probably used it to activate. Be sure you have the new Product Key
recorded somewhere that is secure, because you will need it. What version of
XP do you have? Is it OEM (came installed on your computer), or did you
purchase a retail version and install it on your computer?
