"HP install manually"
Can you please advise as to how to acheive this? Or a link to site that
might advise of the same?
a. Remove the HP software from Add/Remove Programs.
b. From the HP setup directory (on the CD or on the hard drive if drivers
were downloaded from the Internet) in the Utilities>CCC folder find the
uninstall.bat files. Use Uninstall_L3.bat. Do not use Level 4 on an HP
computer because it might take out necessary HP components for the system.
c. Then use msconfig to do a clean boot. On the Startup tab, disable
everything. On the Services tab, hide the MS services and disable everything
else. Reboot.
d. Run CCleaner (*only* the cleaner part, do not *touch* the registry tool!)
to get rid of all temporary files.
e. Download the latest HP full feature software or use the CD if you must.
MAKE SURE THE PRINTER IS NOT CONNECTED TO THE COMPUTER!
f. Try to reinstall the printer software. Sacrifice a small child first
(optional).
g. If this worked, put the Startup back the way it was with msconfig.
h. If this didn't work, throw the printer of the the window.
