Peter,
I have already tried that - many times. It does not change the issue or give me the Recording tab bacl.
In addition, there was a new version of the IMAPI posted recently, which includes 2 fixes:
1 - IMAPI 2.0 - http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/aa366450(VS.85).aspx and http://support.microsoft.com/kb/932716
2 - Windows Feature Pack for Storage http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?FamilyID=63ab51ea-99c9-45c0-980a-c556746fcf05&displaylang=en

Those didn't do it either.

Also, ran the Hotfix from http://support.microsoft.com/kb/932716.
Still no Recording tab.
