i have a 250GB HDD and a 500GB HDD.
and am going to clone the 250GB one to the 500GB one.
can i run the same windows on both or will it become invallid
You are talking about 2 different issues and trying to ask them as one
question.
The first is licensing.
The second is hardware differences between 2 PCs. Ask again.

I'm planning to do the same thing with a Dell Dimension 3000 and a
Dimension 4600. The only differences in the hardware is the NIC, on-board
audio and on-board video. I'm hoping to clone the drive from the 3000 to
the 4600 and at least boot to Safe Mode if not to the XP desktop. I have
legit licenses for both XP installs.
Any other gotchas that might prevent this from working?
Thanks
