You are talking rubbish. If you have a recovery CD or DVD then you are not a
sensible person. All Dell and HP systems are so called OEMs but this does not
mean they don't come with their own OEM OS CDs

I can send you the photocopy or color image of the actual CD if you want to
amuse yourself with your hands inside your pants!

Because the recovery partition was on that hard drive I had the option of paying HP for a recovery CD or using a retail CD to install the OS on the new drive. ... There was ZERO operating system or recovery CDs supplied with the original computer and the only way to get a recovery CD was to burn one when you received the computer, something most casual users don't know about. ...
