no matter what i try i cannot get the wizard to see the drivers for the
vx-6000 lifecam i have downloaded and installed the latest software and
drivers for it but yet my windows xp pro with sp3 see's it as nothing more
than a usb 2.0 camera and wont even recognize the drivers.......... i need
help on this on how to get the cam to work and on where i can just get the
drivers for it thank you
Which wizard? Download the Microsoft LifeCam "drivers" from the
Microsoft's hardware download web site. Disconnect the cam from the
USB port and then click on the download file to "run" the driver
install process. The drivers will install themselves and at one point
in the install, they will request the cam to be connected to an USB
port directly on the PC. Connect it and the install should complete.
There is no wizard used when you "install" the LifeCam driver. After
running the "downloaded" file, the drivers are installed. You should
have the Cam not connected to any USB port and only reconnect it when
the driver install process request it.
Which motherboard do you have? I have used these "drivers" to install
my VX-1000 and they work. However, I did have to install my
motherboard chipset drivers before so as to have the correct USB 2
settings.
