I have a Lonovo Thinkpad T60 running XP and everytime I plug in the mouse
reciever it starts to act very eratic when I start using it. It will lag
behind , jump around etc. Wired mice are fine when plugged in. Please advise?

What Shenan said, and
What USB port is the receiver plugged in to? My Logitech works better from the the side ports than from a rear port.
