On GA-8SIMLH (Gigabyte Technology Co.) motherboard something happened with
the graphic programs - they work slowly. When you move a window, it is
drawn by "waves" on the screen.
The message "No ATI graphics is installed, or the ATI driver is not
functioning properly" appears at computer startup.
The yellow "?" is near the SiS Accelerated Graphics Port position in
Device Manager and in Properties there is the message "Windows cannot
start this hardware device because its configuration information (in the
registry) is incomplete or damaged. (Code 19)" in Properties.
When I try to install drivers (from the Gigabyte site), I receive the
message: "The system cannot recognize the device. Please make sure that
the device is configured correctly, and then run Setup again."
Registry cleaning by some programs did not fix the problem.
How can I correct this?
Thank you
Lev
It looks like you must have two graphics cards as you have mentioned both
ATI and SiS
My guess is that you are not using your onboard video and have either and
AGP or PCI video card...
So you are probably trying to install the wrong video card drivers.
Confirm which video card you are actually using and get the drivers for that
one.
Thought you did not give enough info...my guess is the card you are trying
to use is the ATI
and you need to go the their website for the driver
.
