Windows XP home edition; office 2007

In all of my office 2007 program, when I scroll down a page or two or
sometimes even just several lines, and then pause for a while the
screen suddenly jumps back to the original position. it's really
frustrating!

I thought it might be the mouse, but I've now tried three different
ones. I've changed the mouse scroll wheel settings and still get the
same result.

Does anyone know why this might be happening?
