I reinstalled Windows XP SP3 today.I have 2 IDE HDD's which work fine. I
have 2 DVD units neither of them is now working. I know there is nothing
wrong with the drives as I installed from the internal DVD player. The
second is a USB DVD player. They are both shown in Device Manager but with
yellow circles and Exclamation points thru them.
I've tried the uninstall driver line and they disappear from DM. On
rebooting the computer sees them and lets me try to install the drivers.
Lite-on tells me that they don't need drivers from them as MSFT
automatically installs the correct driver. But it just doesn't happen and
I
can't see the drives in Disk management or in Windows Explorer.
I hope you can help me with this problem. Thanks.
