In article <18673BEA-31F7-4840-B8DE-0922B2DF46A1@xxxxxxxxxxxxx>,
attilathehun1@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx says...
I got fed up with the SATA drive and decided to install the old hard drive
that was the original drive that has Windows XP Home edition installed on it.
Now, why can't I get the PC to boot? I went into BIOS already and had the
hard drive recognized. It already has an OS on it, the hard drive, and wtf is
the problem. Do I need to stick the supplied mobo CD into the optical drive?
Do I need to tell BIOS that Im sticking this mobo into a PC that has all the
old parts in it? Do I need to blow it out my ass?
WTF!
Any help will be greatly appreciated.
Based on all of your posts, you are WAY BEYOND YOU ABILITY - it's time
you should just accept that you don't have a clue and just purchase a
pre-built Dell and give up on building a computer from scratch.
If you had done a google search you would have found zillions of posts
that say you can't expect to have a working computer when taking the
drive from one system and installing it into a different system.
