I'm just adding a bluetooth card to my Laptop. I had read reports of
bluetooth and WiFi protocols sharing the same frequency spectrum creating
potential for a performance degradation.
How serious is this. Has anyone experienced this and how bad is it? Just
wanted to get a better idea. BlueTooth is low priority for me but I do
value a fast WiFi connection!
Any sugesstions / hacks / setting-modifications to minimize such
interference?
Although they share the same frequency band, WiFi and Bluetooth use
different modulation methods. Further both systems employ a frequency
hopping protocol that allows it to switch channel if interference is
detected.
Like wired ethernet systems, collisions do occur, but from a practical
point of view, you are unlikely to notice them.
I'm curious to know why you chose to impersonate Gurney to post that reply.
There are three things that give it away.
1. It seems to be a reasonably correct response (I assume).
2. It is helpful, something the real Gurney wouldn't know how to be.
3. It isn't critisizing anyone else for posting valid (but unacceptable to
Gurney) posts.
