I want to know how to remove the old fan and heatsink from my
motherboard.
It turns out the CPU is probably good. Now I installed the fan and
heatsink
on the PC I built 3 years ago by using a screwdriver and pressing down
with a
bit of pressure to engage the hook mechanicism. Now there is different
release points on different mobos. I can see on the Compaq presario
5000
A
stock PC mobo there is a lever that I think you push down on to
release
the
CPU fan and heatsink?
On the motherboard I'm trying to fix is a model M7VIG 400 mobo that
supports AMD processors.
I just want to remove the CPU and put it into another M7VIG 400 mobo.
There is an AMD processor in it. I bought it 3 years ago from, not
Fries,
but the other main PC store that has alot of outlets. Anyways, oh
yeah,
CompUSA and it was a bundle package. There AMD bundle.
Ok, any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks,

Why ask here? What does this have to do with the OS? NOTHING.
Notice the group title. Yes, it mentions HARDWARE but is preceded by
WINDOWSXP.

So you decided to ask it here instead of the General group where you
asked yesterday. Nice Try, but still the WRONG place.

On the contary, fuckwit, it's by universal acceptance the right place.
A
hardware question in a *hardware* newsgroup. The OP is probably running
XP
on his processor which makes it doubly relevant.

Nope, it's not relevant at ALL. This is a physical question that has
NOTHING to do with XP - but you don't seem to notice that WINDOWSXP
precedes HARDWARE in the group title. How can you manage to type and
post when you obviously can't read?

It is clearly you that can't comprehend English. I have answered that
point
on numerous occasions and you clearly haven't comprehended my response.

It is because you are mentally ill and dillusional that you aren't
interested in other people's views and consider that only your obsession
is
what matters. It doesn't and that makes you both a usenet nazi and a
fuckwit.

No, it's your ATTITUDE that amazes me. Just because you and a few
others who are noisy decide it doesn't bother you when people post OT
questions, then those of us who DO mind it and are vocal about it are
WRONG. This attitude of YOURS is what is WRONG.

Those of us? There is only one of you. You are the *only* person noising
off about this. It is *your* attitude that is wrong. Everyone else is
perfectly happy with the newsgroup and the way it is used. The rest of us
*do mind* about you incesently posting exactly the same unwanted post
whenever anyone post something that you alone disagree with.

Of course you can't see this. I deal with dolts like you all day long
who are absolutely convinced that they are 100 percent right and as
such anybody that even hints that they are wrong (when they clearly
ARE) MUST be wrong an not know what they are talking about.

And this is because you are a DIP.

MI5 3/4 has posted the answer to that first scentence at least a dozen
times, and others (including your's truly) have also done so. If anyone
can't see the light, it is you.

It wouldn't surprise me in the slightest that you hold the view that you
just stated. There are many people in this world who are convinced they are
right even when they are totally wrong. Once they have pitched their wrong
information, they just cannot back down from it even when it is demonstrated
that they are totally wrong. You are one such person. I can just see you
in front of your PC seething with rage whenever anyone posts a question that
fails to meet *your* (no one else's) exacting standards. I studied
psychology for 4 years, and you are a straight out of the text book case.
One thing that MI5 3/4 is absolutely right about is that the signs you show
are indeed classical of a serious type of mental illness.

It is you that cannot see. It is you that are the dolt that everyone else
in this newsgroup has to ignore. It is you, and you alone, that is
convinced that you are 100% right when everyone else keeps telling you that
you are 100% wrong. It is you that cannot accept that. Fortunately I don't
have to deal with dolts like you everyday, because virtually everone I work
with isn't dillusional.

Someone (can't remember who) suggested that you were in fact a teenaged
school child. I can find nothing in any of your rantings that dispells that
theory.
