did you install the right chipset driver for the motherboard.

Hi,
i changed my system vom AMD Athlon64 3200 to AMD64 x2 and was forced to
update the bios on gigabyte k8nf9 because the old bios didn't recognize
the X2. After that i had hours and hours to reinstall, because nothing
more didn't work (X2 was not a very goog idea....).
ok, now the PC works, all other hardware didn't change, and in the
Hardware manager, everything is ok.
But now, i've problems with shutdown: After normal shutdown (no error),
the PC goes off and after 5-20 sec. it goes on an reboots. So i must wait
until the shutdown is completed and the plug it out.
When i try to use hibernation or standby the pc will show a stop 0x0A
message with blue screen when i try to resume from the powersaving mode.
Ok, i believe that the bios update is guilty, but there's no way back (i
tried the old bios, but then the XP on PC will not work).
Maybe there's another solution?
Thanks
Peter
