I have recently had to reinstall windows. *I have reinstalled all my

done that Next still stays greyed out and I can go no further. *It

nothing changes. *I did leave the printer connected and turned on

I reinstalled windows. *Would that create a problem? *And if so does

During the reinstall, did you re-install the motherboard chipset
drivers?
Does your USB ports show up in Device Manager?
