Hello there, Not sure if you got this resolved yet or not, but you may
want to try installing a standalone version of QuickTime. The iTunes
installation includes QuickTime in the .cab, but if you get that
message (the uninstall.log files error you get when trying to remove
QuickTime) I find that installing QuickTime on it's own fixes this.
To download it, go to www.apple.com/quicktime/download
Make sure you select the version of QuickTime that does NOT include
iTunes, and you should be able to install.
