I have a Lite-on SOHW 832s external dvd player/burner. I had to take it

of its case and clean it out with air and i noticed it had three sets

wires one multipin, a four pin and one small two prong, the multipin

pin i could see were they went but the small two prong i could not
figure

were it went as it was unpluged when i opened the top upcould someone
tell
me
what this wire is for and if it needs to be plugged in.
If I have to guess (obviously), would say it was an old-style SPDIF
connection for audio only. If so, no longer needed as windows can pull
audio data directly over the data cable and decode properly.
