Re: Installation of hardware

This may sound really stupid, but have you turned the camera on?
Secondly have a look in Device Manager. To get there, right click on My
Computer and choose Manage. Then Device Manager. Look for Universal Serial
Bus controllers and click the + sign at the left side. Do you see any
yellow exclamation marks? If so, right click on the line with the
eclamation mark and choose enable (if that's available). Does that help?
Let us know.

Thankyou for your help guys. It still won't work.

Try a different USB port. Also, are you plugging into a
bus powered hub?

I have tried both USB ports, and neither work. What is a bus powered hub
(sorry to sound stupid) it's the ports on the back of the laptop.

Also, be sure to install the drivers from the CD BEFORE you
plug the device in the first time.

I'm not even supposed to use the drivers, it should work automatically.
I've
installed it and uninstalled it a million times now! As I have already
plugged the device in before I installed the programme from the disc, does
that mean it's ruined forever? It's not just the camera, but a mouse I
tried
to plug into the drivers too.

If anyone knows how to fix this, then they are truly amazing

It's a real headache :(

| Try a different USB port. Also, are you plugging into a
bus powered hub?
| If so, don't. Try a powered hub or a USB port actually on
the computer
| itself.

That'll be thank you then.
