Whenever I put new hardware into my USB port, for some reason XP can't
install it.
I just bought a digital camera, and when I plug it in it is supposed to be
automatically installed on XP and appear as a removable storage device in
My
Computer. However, it doesn't. Sometimes it doesn't recognise it at all,
and
other times I get the hardware wizard which then says it cannot find the
drivers. I have installed the drivers from the disc and the Vivitar
website
to no avail, and tried the camera on another computer and it works fine.
What is going on?!?
Please help!
Try a different USB port. Also, are you plugging into a bus powered hub?
If so, don't. Try a powered hub or a USB port actually on the computer
itself.
