I had a friend buy a new Dell with Vista pre-installed.
But, many of his applications were incompatible with Vista, and patches were
not available.
He returned it and got a different brand with XP pre-installed.
I have recently heard that Dell is now offerring either Vista or XP, since
so many people were unhappy with Vista.
Unless you have some application that will only run under Vista, or need to
use more than 4 Gig or RAM, stick with XP for a while.
And, as with every other Microsoft operating system, the newest one will run
slowest on the same hardware, if it runs at all.

Hi guys,
I'm debating if I should get Vista or not, I currently have Windows XP
home, it's 32bit (I think). I don't have a DX10 card, nor do I have any
plans to get one soon, other than having DX10, is there anything else
that it would be worth getting for.
Granted it looks amazing! but is it worth the up(down)grade?
