If you are just "a normal user on the net" there is no reason for more RAM.
If on the other hand you download video/audio and convert those to something
you burn to a CD/DVD that operation will be quicker....If you work with
complicated Video Converstions/Heavy Duty spreadsheets/etc then yes more Ram
will help.
But if your whole system is too old why bother with more RAM..save your
money and replace/update/upgrade the system.Not knowing any of the specs of
your system we can only speculate.
