Re: New PC with Vista

Tech-Archive recommends: Repair Windows Errors & Optimize Windows Performance

Hi Malke,
by no modifications I meant remove from PC that drive was a boot drive with
WIN XP and not reformat the drive but to install it as a slave as is. NOT A
DUAL BOOT. Just want to read data on the.

Thanks

If I purchase a new PC with VISTA, would I be able to install as a slave
the HDDD from my XP PC (xp is instsalled)a nd be able to use the drive as
a storage drive without any modifications. After getting my data off the
XP drive I would then format the drive.
I don't know what you mean by "without any modifications" but generally
there is no problem slaving another hard drive in a Vista system. I've
done it all through the beta and now with RTM.
