Did you try reinstalling the drivers for the problem devices?

The USB ports on my PC have stopped working for certain devices only. Devices
such as my ipod, scanner & a card reader which used to work fine, no longer
work on any port and a new camera does not connect at all. Yet other devices
such as my bluetooth receiver, broadband DSL box & an old card reader still
work fine on any port. If I plug in any of the former devices it tells me
that an unknown device is connected. I know of no reason for this as I
upgraded to SP2 after this started happening. Can anyone help? Thanks. (P.S.
I am not a techie so please type in words of one syllable!!)
