reading the next post about usb problems eminded me of another change you can try.
under the POWER propeties of the ROOT HUBS, turn off/disable the turnoff to save popwer option.
i if it does nto help be sure and go back and turn that back on to conserve battery power if needed.

Well it worked only for a little while as you can see from the posting times
I tried it again and still no luck it continues to show the error message.

Thank you
that fixed it.

one thing to try is to REMOVE the USB devices (Root Hubs) from device manager.
power down the computer, wait 3-5 minutes.
power it back up and allow it to find and install the usb devices.

When I power up my laptop I get a pop up on my task bar "USB DEVICE NOT
RECOGNIZED" and I can not stop it from popping up every second. When I double
click on the USB picture it states one of the USB devices attached to this
computer has malfunction and windows does not recognize it and when I check
the Device manager under drivers it has "no drivers are installed for this
device."
I do not have anything attached to the laptop just the power cord.
Everything else is attached on a docking station I have and I still get the
same error.

I followed a suggestion from a previous posting on 1/21/07 that Darwin
Tandiono replied and my laptop is extactly as he suggested so there was no
change for me to do.

Has anyone else had this problem or is currently experiencing this problem
HELP????
