Thx for the tip, todfay i got another response from BFG support asking me for
a RMA request, let me try all this so if it works i can save a lot of time
instead of the RMA, since i'm located in Mexico, i'll let you know the
results after i try this

According to the BFG quick install guide PDF it looks like you need to
reinstall the old card again and then disable it in device manager, click no
if prompted to restart, close all open windows and shut down system, remove
power, cover, old card.. install new card.. See step 6 in the PDF
The drivers are Nvidia and should be ok unless you need to update them..

Never heard of a firmware update for a video card, my ATI 9600XT's bios was
updated by a driver update done recently, though.. Have you tried contacting
customer support for the new card, should be free..?

That's correct, i'm able to use the card, there woldn't be any conflict with
integrated devices since the motherboard doesn't have it, and is the only
video card installed on the pc, and the generic driver never seen it,
everytime i uninstall the drivers after the reboot i install the drivers i

windows recovery and start from the safe mode with VGA to see what happend

So, in your case, you are able to use the new card in Windows, right..?
The monitor is connected to the new card, not to any onboard Display
controller, right..?

On my system, had go to "add remove programs" three times to uninstall my
ATI drivers before Windows indicated that the MS generic drivers were being
installed for the new device.. You may need to keep looking in add remove
programs as soon as you boot-up into Windows to verify no Nevada drivers or
control panel are being installed, from a rollback location.. You will need
to reboot each time too, for the changes to take affect.. Look on the driver
tab, "any" listed card(s) properties, details button, to see if the signed MS
drivers have any company, ie. Nvidia drivers..

Or you could try the Windows Installer Cleanup utility, see link, to remove
any Nvidia installed apps, etc, that may show up, your call..

Use the above tool wisely, it can remove other apps too, so be careful..

Sounds like you may have done a Repair Install of XP, which would account
for Windows holding on to the old cards Info in the registry..

I'm sorry I had to ask, I have heard of it happening, though..
Have you tried going into safe mode, in Device Manager, to see if there is
an entry for the old card there..? If so remove or uninstall all instances of
it from there..

I had a similar problem, just took the card out and rebooted the computer
without the card installed, let the HDD (flashing LED's) settle down then
pushed and held the power button to turn off the computer.. Then replaced the
card, attached the monitor cable, power cable, then rebooted to let windows
find the card again..
That worked for me, your results may very..?
May be worth a try, though, your call..
