Hi all,
my computer is getting clogged up with games, as i only have 80gb memory. If
i were to buy an external hard drive would it increase the computer memory ...
No, a hard drive is not memory, although a portion of a hard drive's
capacity can be used as virtual memory.
.... or
just act as a huge removable disk?
Well, yes, as that is what an external drive is.
And would i be able to use the memory to
intall games on?
Software is not installed into memory, it must be installed onto a
storage device of some sort, such as a hard drive. As for installing
any games on an external hard drive, contact each games manufacturer to
see if installation to a removable external drive is supported. In many
cases, it won't be, because of licensing issues.
