i am using my pc to record some of my old vhs tapes to dvd. some of my
vhs dates have some sort of protection. does anyone know how to get
around vhs tape protection? please help.
Macrovision ?
Macrovision is a technique that fools the AGC circuitry on the standard RCA
input of a VCR which is why the picture would go dark from time to time and
at some points even go to a blue screen.
You could try using 2 VCR's. Play the VHS tape in one, run the ch.2/3/4 rf
output to the rf input of another VCR, and use the video/sound out form the
second VCR.
