Hello,

I have a serious problem here. I tried to install Ubuntu linux and long
story short I didn't like it so I removed it's partitions and then made
the
windows partition back to its original size.

I ran CHKDSK /R before and after the partition size changes. Now when I
use
Windows, the local disk size shrunk from ~95GB to ~80GB! The partition
Windows is on is ~95GB! How can I make Windows XP reset the hard drive
limits
or something, so it is back to 95GB? Also.. Windows got slower overall
with
the less space, even after a defrag.

First back up your data...

now you will need to go back to the Ubuntu install
and only go so far as repartitioning your drive back to how it was
originally...

you must delete your linux partitions

then add the free space to your original Windows partition...

otherwise use a 3RD party utility such as partition magic...

at any rate...windows has NO ability to no-destructively repartition!
