Re: Cordless mouth and bluetooth adapter clash on USB hub

Very mysterious. It could very much be a problem with the hub's logic,
or even the circuit although I doubt anything's failed in the circuit
since all three ports are in operation individually. Do you have a
spare 4-port you can swap in, or maybe a spare non-powered hub just for
the mouse and scanner?

It's certainly strange. I happen to have two Bluetooth USB adapters so
I swapped the MSI one with the other (unbranded) one and the mouse
didn't seem affected this time. I thought the problem was solved, but
then the printer/scanner powered off (automatically I think) and the
mouse stopped working again. I switched the printer/scanner back on and
the mouse worked again. Turned the printer/scanner off and the mouse
stopped.

Could it be anything but a power issue? Possibly a faulty hub PSU? Or
is there some kind of USB protocol clash?

This is odd because a powered USB hub with its own brick should deliver
~500mA per usb port!

I wonder what the power specs are on the MSI. Any chance the
combination of those three is drawing more than the total power
delivery for the hub?

I have a Fujifilm DCR2-161 combo 3-port USB 2.0 hub and memory card
reader. It's independently powered and is connected to a laptop
computer running Windows XP MCE via a USB 2.0 port. The hub is
connected to anEpson printer/scanner and a Logitech cordless mouse. I
was hoping to attach an MSI Bluetooth USB adapter to the hub, but this
stops the mouse from working. The BT adapter works OK when plugged into
one of the spare laptop USB ports. Is ther any way of overcoming this
clash between the BT adapter and the mouse?

Thanks
