Can someone suggest some (not very expensive) hand scanner? I need to do
some searches in libraries and would like to be able to scan some materials
and transfer to system for OCR/further processing.

Not because I don't think that hs kids can't handle the material, but because I'm certain that there is better material available in the genre that is worth spending the limited budget and shelf space on. ...
