Tried the quick format too :-(

You might also try the Quick Format option, sometimes this works on large
drive when Full format fails (typically near the completion of the
formatting).

I have a Seagate Barracuda(PATA) 300gb hard drive attached to a PCI
controller card. Windows recognize it in the BIOS and in My computer. I
first went to format it through Disk management but it failed giving me
the error "Logical Disk Manager: The format did not complete
successfully". Ok - so I tried a second time and did the same thing. I
believe it got up to 94%. Next, I tried Partition Magic 8 and got the
error in the attached pic. Finally I tried using the Seagate disc but it
didn't bulge at all and gave me a not responding when I hit cancelled.
The drive is set to cable select. My system is WinXP MCE w/SP2 with all
updates. I can provide additional info if needed.
Anyone know what could be the problem?
Thanks,
