Yes, indeed! I think it was for the SATA controller built-in the main board.

No, it was a new computer bought in December 2004. Three days later, Windows
XP died when I changed this configuration parameter:
System Properties, Advanced tab, Performance, Settings button, Advanced tab:
Memory usage = System cance

On the next logon after restart, Windows XP displayed many "Delayed write
failed" errors and then died. The two partitions that were on the SATA
hard-disk were destroyed.

Strange why this parameter caused Windows to destroy the partitions?
