is there some shortcomings of using two CDRom devices on one PC?
Affecting on system reliability, on motherboard stability, other.
Normal use supposes to have one CDRom device per motherboard, however.

Actually most of my desktop systems have two CD/DVD writer drives. .
Works well. It isn't an unusual configuration.

Yes, this is probably bad, hasty practice. additional power and
motherboard load, additional connectors.
