Re: Digimate LCD Warranty ?

The replacement must be of equal or better quality and specifications.
Quote the Sale of Goods Act and demand it.
If they play awkward send a recorded delivery letter to them stating that if
it's not resolved inside 10 days you will take it to Small Claims Court.

Sorry if this is a bit OT

In February I bought a Digimate 19" L-1925 LCD monitor, and two or three
days before the 20th September '06, it died on the DVI input. (I swappped
out DVI graphics card to a known good one to rule out a dead graphics
card).

The monitor was collected by Digimate under the 3 year on-site swap-out
Warranty on 20th September, and almost three weeks rolled by before I
started asking questions. Today, I phoned Digimate and a lovely young
lady told me that they would be sending me out a brand new L-1933 on
Tuesday but, that it doesn't have a DVI port. This is VERY disappointing
to me as I specifically bought the thing because it had a DVI port, and I
bought a Nvidia graphics card with a DVI port on it, to go with it. As
soon as the young lady told me it would be replaced with a L-1933, (which
I can't find on the Digimate site or anywhere else for that matter),
perhaps she meant a L-1931 ...so I just said "...okay ...thank you very
much."

So, does anyone know, (I'm in England, UK btw), if they're allowed to do
that ? Digimate don't seem to be suplying LCD's with a DVI port on them
anymore, and during the past few days I've rummaged around the web a bit
with Google, and it seems that many makes and models of LCD monitors with
DVI are failing on the DVI input ports. So my guess is that they've
stopped supplying them until the DVI section of the hardware in them is
improved ?

Any thoughts appreciated,

regards, Richard
