HELP! Request PC Knowlege

Sir/Ma'am,

My PC is going hay wire. Respectfully request some advisement on getting my
PC back online. I'm in the military stationed overseas trying to fix it
myself. I don't want to get ripped off for lack of knowledge. My PC was
freezing up. A dude I worked with changed up the fan and assumed that was
the problem; he charged me $70 in the process. It worked for a minute then a
PC alarm just went off and woudn't stop unless I shut it down. Request to
know what will cause the PC alarm to sound off or the PC to freeze? The
system won't even reboot without the alarm coming on. How can I fix the
problem? Please advise. Any assistance you may provide will be greatly
appreciated.
