I've got a like new TDK880N DVD drive hooked to a new system I'm
building. It seems no matter what app I use the drive will not play DVD
movies. It just hangs up. With media player it will show about 3
seconds of play (black screen) and then the whole system usually hangs.

I've flashed the drive with the latest firmware (1.37). I checked the
DMA mode is at 2 Ultra DMA. TIA for any help on this!

Media Player. I also installed PowerDVD. Now I'm noticing the problem
is the same with *any* video playback. The Divx player is doing the
same thing. I just installed the latest directx. I wonder what else
could be wrong? It's a Radeon 7000 card with the latest drivers
installed.
