Glad to hear you have it going. There is a "scripting program" called AutoIT(free to download and use) that you can use to "automate" that into a desktop shortcut if you are so inclined.

If so, I'm not surprised you have a "missing connection". Only suggestion I can think of that may save that is try "putting" the printer "Offline" before you hibernate at the office.

I've got a Dell Inspiron 8600 and D/Port Advanced Port Replicator running WinXP Pro SP2, with an HP Laserjet 4 connected to the parallel port on the D/Port. The printer installs automatically and I can print fine, until I disconnect and reconnect the laptop. I've tried restarting the laptop, restarting the printer, running self test on the printer, etc... and the only thing I've found which works is to uninstall the LPT1 port in Windows Device Manager, and then after the laptop restarts I can print again, but only until I hibernate, and the whole cycle starts again.

Any ideas? Shouldn't my laptop be able to hibernate and wake up without affecting it's connection to LPT1? Any help you can provide is much appreciated!
