Whose driver are you installing? Something from Micrsooft or ATIs driver? It
is always in your best interest to only download and install hardware
drievrs from that manufacturer, not from Microsoft.
What type, model, etc of video card are you updating?

ERROR message sent to Microsoft always insists that an ATI Technologies,
Updated Display Driver, needs to be installed, which I have done - and
still
have frequent/chronic Locking-Up.
That's why my 1st post was only Subject as my machine Locked-Up.

I would tremenously appreciate an answer to this Locking-Up as I've tried
everything I can think of and have spent at least a hundred hours on this
issue and think I'll just forget about internet access altogether as this
is
too time consuming. I'm spent and exhausted with this Issue.
