Intel D945Psn disabling on board sound

I have an Intel D945Psn MOBO with on board sound. Microphone did not
work, so I have decided to get PCI sound card. I am hawing problems
disabling on board sound. If I use BIOS setting to disable sound,
Window XP SR2 will hang after post. Sound card is working fine and I
have my microphone back, but message about found hardware is popping
out every boot.
Any one had same issues with the Intel card?
