Did you use the same driver that you had on the machine or download a new install from ATI ? You
may have gotten a bad installer on the earlier download.

I am running a optiplex gx270 dell desktop and the computer screen keeps
reverting to a 640x480 screen resolution and the screen gets stuck in that
resolution. The only way to get the screen to revert back to another
resolution is to reboot the computer. Whenever this happens i recieve the
event id that i have attached to this post. I have already uninstalled and
reinstalled the driver. I then switched the video to the onboard video for
a week and the problem seemed to disappear. So i inserted a new video card
and one week after installing the new video card the same thing happen
again. Even though the event log says it is a possible video card driver or
device issue, i have seen posts on the internet that says it is a possible
system board or memory issue. The video card is a ATI 128MB PCI-Express
Radeon X300. Any ideas?
Zach
