Reinstallation of Windows XP scanner & digital camera drivers on old laptop

Don't know if this is the right place to post this, but would appreciate any
help anyone can provide.
I am in the process of setting up my new Satellite Pro M70 laptop.
I was considering installing the software that came with my VuegoScan
flatbed scanner (equivalent I think to the Acer 4300U/3300U &/or Benq S2W
4300U/3300U scanner), but was concerned about the effect it might have,
should I decide to uninstall it and revert the scanner drivers provided in
Windows XP Pro SP2.
My old laptop is a Satellite 5105-S702, which I decided to use to test the
effect of installing and uninstalling the scanner CD software, and then a
scanner software update (mirascan_403u10b.exe - 9.2MB), which I had
downloaded from the internet.
I created Restore Points before installation of the scanner software on the
5105-S702.
I installed the scanner software from the original scanner software CD. It
worked, but did not like it, and therefore uninstalled it. Restored the
system.
Then installed what I thought was the latest scanner software update
(mirascan_v403u10b.exe - 9.2MB) that I had downloaded. It did not work at
all. When I connected the scanner, it was detected as Scanner 22 by Windows
XP, which asked for drivers, which could not be found, even in the Mirascan
folder created during the installation. I unistallled the software and did a
system restore. Still detected as Scanner 22 and still cannot locate the
drivers.
Result now is that I cannot use the scanner with the original Windows XP
scanner drivers, which cannot be found. Also my Kodak L743 digital camera in
not recognised anymore when I connect it to the laptop to transfer photos.
Only good thing is that I did not try this with the new Pro M70 laptop.
Would appreciate if anyone could advise me how to restore the Windows XP
drivers for the scanner, and if possible the drivers for the digital camera
(will I have to reinstall the Kodak Easyshare software ?).
I was able to obtain driver information for the Windows XP drivers for the
scanner, and the drivers for the camera, by connecting them to my new Pro
M70 laptop.
I connected the scanner to my new Pro M70 laptop, and turned it on before
installing the scanner software, with the result that Windows XP
automatically detected the scanner. In Device Manager under Imaging Devices,
it shows up as Flatbed Scanner_23, Manufacturer : Acer Peripherals, and the
"Driver File Details" tab lists 11 drivers and their pathways
Can I copy these 11 drivers to a folder on my old 5105-S702 laptop, and then
install them when the scanner is detected, or in device Manager ?
(By the way, I found an article entitled - "Windows XP: List of Scanners
That Are Supported by Windows Image Acquisition", which has a list of all
the supported scanners, including mine, Acer S2W 3300 and S2W 4300 (16V)).
After installing the Kodak Easyhare software, I connected my Kodak LS743
digital camera to my new Pro M70 laptop. In Device Manager under Imaging
Devices, it shows up as KODAK LS743 Zoom Digital Camera, and the "Driver
File Details" tab lists 8 drivers and their pathways (all in
C:\Windows\System 32\DRIVERS\).
Similar question - can I copy these 8 drivers to a folder on my old
5105-S702 laptop, and then install them if/when the camera is detected, or
in device Manager, or alternatively just copy them directly into the DRIVERS
folder ?
