C'mon man , wake up. All this pro- anti- MS nonsense is history. When the
dot bomb blew up half the MS haters quietly went to work for MS 'cause
that's all there was. Inside MS , the culture changed, in part due to this
migration. You see it more every day, MS open sourcing stuff, MIX06, etc.
Who's got the biggest Mac lab in the world ?
People who love hardware love hardware. What's tomshardware.com ? A bunch
of guys who hate Intel ? I don't think so. It's a bunch of guys who love
hardware and whoever's got the best stuff is going to get their blood
pumping the hardest.
The smartest guys try to get into the most cool stuff possible, 'cause
that's what keeps you excited about technology. You get caught up in a
military "must identify the enemy" mindset you're going to miss 95% of your
potential as a human being.
XP is cool. Linux is cool. OSX is cool. Vista is cool. It's all good if
you're just willing to look beyond what all the fools think and go for
what's real.
Peace.

Your question asked where to find a Linux notebook, a Windows XP group
isn't exactly the right place to be asking that question. You didn't ask
anything about virtual servers thats why you are getting flammed.

Maybe you didn't get the memo ... ? The one about cross-OS virtual
servers, such as Apple will release later this year. And don't think it
will end there: eventually the OS will be commoditized ... and free.
What's the point of your hatred ?
You're a Rip Van Winkle ... and when you finally wake up everyone will
ignore you.

Can someone recommend a good notebook computer to run Linux on ? Is
pre-bundled the way to go (because of hw compatibility issues) ?
I'm sorry but you've posted your question in the wrong newsgroup. You
want a Linux group. Oh, and be smart and do some Googling for something
like "Linux + laptops" before you post. If you post the same way there
as you did here the responses you get will not be this polite.
