Re: Problem with microsoft Comfort Curve Keyboard 2000

Mine does and I find it quite useful...until I forget to set it right before
booting to "safe mode" ;-)
(Microsoft Keyboard Elite for Bluetooth which incidentally will only work in
a dual boot environment if one installation is not passkey protected...bad)

Actually, the Comfort Curve Keyboard 2000 doesn't have an F Lock key.

If only all MS keyboards could be like that.....

Thanks for mentioning my site though. I need to beef up the explanation
of the commands.xml remap method.. One of these days....

Microsoft Comfort Curve Keyboard 2000

I have the Microsoft® Comfort Curve Keyboard 2000. PORT : USB

My problem is When I want to enter into the computers BIOS, I have to
press the "F1" key. That does not work it boots right into windows XP.
Next, when I want to go into safemode, either "F5" OR "F8" will not
work, it also boots into windows XP.

Next, when reinstalling windows, I have to press "F6" to load SATA
drivers. This will not work.

Am I missing something here, please help.

It sounds like you have one of those F-lock keyboards that everyone
hates. Toggle the F-lock off, or use MVP Jason Tsang's information and
fix here:
