I have visited the Dell website, and checked all my drivers. The driver for
my Intel graphics controller was out of date. I have upgraded it, but still
the problem persists. Any suggestions?

Conflicts can still exist, eg 'interrupt'.
Visit your sys manu site and check on the bios updates, and driver updates

No, I don't have a video card, I use onboard graphics, as my machine wasonly
entry-level when i bought it. My Ethernet port is also based on theproblem
motherboard, although the Wireless adaptor I use when at home (when the
problem doest not occur) is a separate PCI card.

The stop can also be as a result of vid driver or vid conflict.
perhaps there is a conflict between vid card and lan card?

Hello, forgive me if this is not in the correct category, but my
1GBspans a number of areas.
I am running a Dell Dimension 2400 machine. It is a celeron 2.6g with
motherboardram. I have also added three extra internal IDE HDDs. As my
connectdid
not have spare IDE ports, I installed a raid card to allow me to
additionalup
to 4 additional IDE devices, to which I have connected my three
IHDDs (note: the C drive is still connected to the motherboard direct).
onehave not used a raid configuration on my drives as I do not know what
Professionalis,
or how to go about configuring it.
All was well until January when I installed Microsoft Office
figure2003, when the computer began to stop randomly displaying the classicWindows
blue screen with a STOP 0x000000B8 message. It took me a while to
re-installedout
what was causing it, during which time I formatted my C and
site:windows. However, as soon as I installed Office again, the problemstarted.
By googling the error message STOP 0x000000B8 I came accross this
http://www.computerperformance.co.uk/exchange2003/exchange_2003_clustering.htm
problem(about 2 thirds of the way down the page) which suggested that the
Officewas related to the Exchange 2003 component which is bundled with
and2003
i believe. However, it refers to it in relation to running an e-mailserver
which I am not doing.
Interestingly, the problem only seems to occur when I am at university
inconnecting to the net through the university LAN. When I am at home
mightthe
holidays, connecting to the net through my wireless network within myhome,
the problem does not present itself.
If anyone could offer any assistance, or even suggest somewhere I
find
a 'cure', then it would me much appreciated.
Regards,
