i recently bought a sata hard drive and want to use it as my main
drive but it won't boot properly if it is the only drive how can i
fix this
There are settings in the BIOS. Usually under peripherals. The
under boot order. Then under drive configuration. You have not
given enough information to give an accurate solution.
